Hi, I’m Claire Ames! I am a Sophomore at Holly Springs High School. I currently pitch and play first base. I attend weekly pitching and hitting lessons outside of my team practices. I have 5 pitches (fast, curve, change up, drop & screw) with a top speed of 58mph.
In my freshman year, I not only made JV but Varsity as well. I learned how to have a healthy balance and manage my time between school, rec ball and academics.
Outside of softball, I love to bake and be crafty. I enjoy hunting (got my first buck last year), fishing, riding four wheelers, crocheting, reading and traveling.
Softball has taught me the importance of work ethic, how to manage time well, and how to find balance in all aspects of life. I hope to continue to play softball in college as it has become an integral part of who I am and who I hope to become.
