Hello! I'm Gabriella Novelli, a freshman at Franklin Academy High School in Wake Forest, North Carolina. I am passionate about softball, a journey I began four years ago with recreational ball in my hometown. My dedication and love for the game led me to join a competitive travel ball team and earn the starting pitcher position on my school team. I had the honor of being named team captain of our 2025 school softball team, and we celebrated an incredible victory by winning our conference championship for the first time since 2007. During that memorable year, I was also named the 2025 Offensive MVP!
As a pitcher for the past two years, I stay committed through weekly lessons, working hard daily on and off the field to continue to improve. I also enjoy playing both first base and outfield when I’m not on the mound. I also volunteer my time to the town of Wake Forest, helping shape our future softball players by helping them learn the game on the field. Beyond the field, I cherish my family, including my little brother Mario, who shares my love for sports and plays travel baseball. We also have a lovable doodle named Coco Bean.
Faith, family, education, softball, and friends are the cornerstones of my life. My faith in God empowers me to believe that anything is possible. This year, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to play varsity softball for my high school while continuing to compete with my travel ball team. Softball is more than a sport to me; it has taught me the true value of teamwork. Softball makes me a better version of myself everyday.
Looking ahead, my goal is to further my education and pursue my passion for softball at an amazing university.
