Hi, I’m Stella, a junior who splits time between homeschool and Hill Learning Center, a sister school to Durham Academy, where I’ve played varsity softball since 8th grade and earned All-Conference honors my freshman and sophomore years.
I’m a pitcher and utility player who throws five pitches — fastball, changeup, curve, screw, and rise. My fastball tops at 56 mph, and my changeup sits around 38 mph, giving me good movement and speed variation. This fall, I’ve thrown 8.1 innings with a 5.04 ERA. At the plate, I’m focused on consistency and power, with a 68 mph exit velocity, .333 on-base percentage, and 2.96 home-to-first time.
Outside of softball, I stay involved in my school and community through student government and Young Life, where I enjoy connecting with others and building leadership skills. Softball has taught me a lot about hard work and teamwork, and I’m always looking for ways to grow on and off the field.
